| 抄録（和） | 小規模な離島や山間部など地理的条件が特に不利な地域においては，自治体や通信事業者によるブロードバンド整備が技術的には可能であるにもかかわらず主としてコストの点から困難な状況にある．しかし，低いコストで可能な整備モデルを示すことができれば，地域住民によるブロードバンド整備が進む可能性がある．本研究では地域住民が主体となって整備を行うブロードバンド情報通信基盤を「コミュニティ・ブロードバンド」と称し，鹿児島県の離島地域をフィールドとして，都市部でのブロードバンド利用と同程度の経費で実現が可能な整備モデルを提案した． |
| 抄録（英） | It is very difficult to develop broadband infrastructure in remote areas, such as, isolate islands and mountain regions. This is because the development is too expensive for local governments or telecommunications carriers, even though there are no technical difficulty. It is likely that people in remote areas will develop Community Broadband infrastructure by themselves if some low price methods are proposed. So I have suggested the lower cost Community Broadband model by research and development of Internet access line sharing and wireless LAN regional network in remote isolate islands in Kagoshima. |
