| 抄録（和） | 本稿では、TCP の輻輳制御を考慮した、大規模ネットワークの解析手法を提案\r\nする。本解析では、エンドホストで動作する TCP およびネットワークリンク\r\nを、それぞれ独立のシステムとしてモデル化し、これらを相互接続することで、\r\n大規模ネットワークをモデル化する。各リンクにおけるリンク利用率およびパ\r\nケット棄却率、そして TCP コネクションのスループットを導出し、ネットワー\r\nクの輻輳個所およびその輻輳の度合を求める。我々の解析手法を用いることに\r\nよって、例えば、100 /1,000 /100,000 を越えるルータ / エンドホスト / リ\r\nンク、そして、100,000 本を越える TCP コネクションが存在するネットワー\r\nクのエンド間のスループット、リンク利用率等を短時間で評価できる。また、\r\n評価に必要な計算時間は、ns-2 とは異なり、ネットワークの帯域および伝播\r\n遅延に依存しない。本稿では、解析結果をシミュレーション結果と比較するこ\r\nとにより、解析の妥当性を示す。さらに、我々の解析手法が、大規模ネットワー\r\nクにおける TCP コネクションの振舞いを適切に捉えていることを示す。 |
| 抄録（英） | In this paper, we propose a novel analysis method for large-scale\r\nnetworks with consideration of the behavior of the congestion control\r\nmechanism of TCP. In the analysis, we model the behavior of TCP at\r\nend-hosts and network links as independent systems, and combine them\r\ninto a single system in order to analyze the entire network. We then\r\nderive the utilization of the network links, the packet loss ratio of\r\nthe link buffer, the throughput of TCP connections, and the location\r\nand degree of the network congestion. Using this analysis, we can\r\nanalyze a large-scale network, i.e. with over 100/1,000/10,000\r\nrouters/hosts/links and 100,000 TCP connections in substantially short\r\ntime. Especially, a calculation time of our analysis, which is\r\ndifferent from that of ns-2, is independent of a network bandwidth\r\nand/or propagation delay. We validate our approximate analysis by\r\ncomparing analytic results with simulation ones. We also show that\r\nour analysis method treats the behavior of TCP connection in a\r\nlarge-scale network appropriately. |
