| 抄録（和） | PONシステムにおいて，伝送ビットレートや伝送プロトコルによらない伝送距離の拡大や，光スプリッタの許容分岐数の増大を目指し，バーストである1.3μm帯上り信号を増幅する光増幅器として利得クランプされたプラセオジウム添加ファイバ増幅器(GC-PDFA)を用いることを提案する．また，バースト光増幅実現のため，PDFAの瞬時的な利得特性について明らかにすると共に利得クランプによる光サージの抑圧効果を確認する．さらに光中継PONシステムの上り伝送距離限界及び許容分岐数を見積もることによりバースト増幅用GC-PDFAの有効性を確認する． |
| 抄録（英） | We propose the upstream burst-mode 1.3 m optical amplifier based on a gain-clamped praseodymium-doped fiber amplifier (GC-PDFA) to enlarge the transmission distance between an OLT and ONUs and increase the allowable splitting number of an optical splitter regardless of transmission bit-rates and transmission protocols. We also investigate the optical surge due to the gain dynamics of GC-PDFA for burst mode amplification and confirm the effect of a gain-clamp to suppress optical surges. Moreover, we also show the validity of GC-PDFA for burst mode amplification by estimating the limitation of the upstream transmission distance and the allowable splitting number of optically repeatered PON systems. |
