| 抄録（和） | インターネットの普及に伴い各種のネットワーク障害が問題となっている。このような障害発生時には障害が発生した個所とその原因を早急に特定することが必要である。筆者らは、従来のハードウェア的障害の検知に加えて、輻輳、プロトコル手順、操作誤りなどに起因するさまざまな障害を検出することを目的として、端末を収容するネットワークのモニタリング、通信経路のハードウェア障害と経路変更の状態の監視、問題の申告があった通信のIPレベルおよび上位レベルの再試行を組み合わせたインターネット障害検知方式を検討している。本稿では、その概要について述べる。 |
| 抄録（英） | According to wide spread of the Internet, communication failures become serious problems. When such failures happen, the network operators need to detect their locations and reasons. The failure detection systems so far are mainly focusing on hardware failure such as link downs and router failures. In this paper, the authors propose a new methodology which can detects not only hardware failures but also software failures resulting from congestion, operator's human errors, protocols and so on. This methodology is based oh the user network monitoring, SNMP based failure detection, routing protocol handling and communication retrial. |
