| 抄録（和） | ATM網の実用化を進めていくには、異なる呼種間での統計多重の効果、すなわち、トラヒック特性、許容品質が大きく異なるメディア間での資源共用の効果を明らかにする必要がある。本検討では、まず、バ-スト性を表現する一般的な到着過程である位相マルコフ再生過程に対する重畳過程を構成し、次に、多呼種が重畳される多重化装置での総合、および、呼種別のセル廃棄率を算出する。具体的な例として、音声端末と画像端末のそれぞれが重畳された場合について数値計算をおこなう。また、セル廃棄率に対する要求品質の高い画像端末に対して、確定的に帯域を割り当て、残りの帯域で音声端末を多重した場合の最大収容端末数の組を計算し、帯域を音声と画像で分離して運用した方が伝送効率のよい場合とそうでない場合が存在することを明らかにする。 |
| 抄録（英） | Statistical multiplexing technique enables efficient transmission of bursty and variable bit-rate traffic in ATM networks.This paper reports performance of statistical multiplexing of different types of traffic with different service of quality.First,the total and individual cell loss probabilities are calculated for a statistical multiplexer with voice and video traffic.Next,two schemes for transporting voice and video traffic in a single transmission link are presented:integration and segregation schemes.Finally,these two schemes are compared in terms of multiplicity under different cell loss probability requirements to voice and video. |
