| 抄録（和） | 情報流通サービスは、インターネット利用の増加にともない、地球規模の展開をしている。また、新技術の導入検討から本格サービス実施までの期間が短くなっている。そのような状況に対応するための研究開発は、サービスを先取りする形で行うと同時に、世界各地域の状況を踏まえた形でグローバル化する必要がある。本稿では、情報流通サービスの状況を概説し、技術検討から本格サービスまでの効率化を図るために構築したテストベッドGEMnet(Global Enhanced Multifunctional Network)の機能概要とテストベッドを用いた実験内容を述べる。 |
| 抄録（英） | Due to growing use of the Internet, information communication services are rapidly evolving to support worldwide coverage. The cycle from verification of new technologies to deployment of full-scale services is shrinking. Considering this emerging environment R&D should anticipate new information sharing services and be pursuing a global strategy that is tailored to the particular circumstances of different regions. This paper will review the current information communication services and discuss the functions of the Global Enhanced Multifunctional Network (GEMnet), which has been used as a testbed for technology verification and full-scale service deployment more efficient. Finally, this paper will introduce some representative field trials being carried out over the testbed. |
