IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences (IEICE-EA) welcomes paper submissions on information theory and coding theory as well as many other topics. Interested authors are encouraged to refer to the Information for Authors for IEICE-EA.

In 2014, the acceptance rate was 34% for papers, and 40% for letters. The average time interval from initial acceptance to first evaluation report was 93 days for papers, and 64 days for letters. For additional information, please see statistics for IEICE journals. Unlike many other journals, the second editor decision is always accept or reject, and so authors are encouraged to make high-quality initial submissions.

IEICE-EA also publishes a Special Section on Information Theory and Its Applications as a part of a regular monthly issue every year. The special section is edited by the special section editorial committee and its submission deadline is usually in January or February, with publication in December of the same year.
