[Statement] I have been engaged in research and development in the Information Communication Technologies (ICT) company laboratories for about 30 years, followed by academic research and teaching at a graduate school for over 10 years. During those periods, the technological innovations have achieved the globalization of ICT industries, and yielded a lot of advantages and benefits to Japan. I would like to do my best as an auditor so that the IEICE will be able to contribute to the further progress and growth of the ICT more than ever.

[Profile] Prof. Toshio Nojima received his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Hokkaido University in 1974 and 1988, respectively. He joined the Yokosuka Electrical Communication Laboratories in 1974, where he was engaged in the research and development of microwave communication systems. From 1992 to 2001, he worked with NTT DoCoMo, Inc., where he was a Senior Executive Research Engineer and pursued researches of RF technologies including EMC. Since 2002, he has continued to be a professor for the graduate school of Information Science and Technology, at Hokkaido University. He is an IEICE Fellow and served as a chair of Sapporo Sections for IEICE as well as IEEE. He received multiple Best Paper Awards from the IEICE and a commendation for EMC by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Japan.
