| Article 1: The Senior Member Review Committee conducts the final screening of candidates recommended by the societies for Senior Member, makes any numeric adjustments that may be required, and reports the results to the Board of Directors for approval. These provisions establish the procedural arrangements required to implement the provisions set forth in Article 7 of the Senior Member Recommendation Provisions. | |
Article 2: The Senior Member Review Committee is presided over by a Chair and a Secretary. |

Article 3: The Chair presides over the committee. |

| Article 4: The Chair, the Secretary, and other committee members of the Senior Member Review Committee are appointed by the President. 2. A single term of service on the committee is defined as 1 year. The Chair normally serves for 2 terms, while the Secretary and other committee members of the committee generally serve until the end of the year in which they were appointed. |

| Article 5: The committee performs the following tasks to fulfill its mission. a) Reviews Senior Member candidates (hereafter referred to as the candidates) recommended by the societies to ensure they are eligible are qualified. b) Reviews candidates to ensure they are professionally and otherwise suitable for elevation to Senior Member. c) Eliminates duplicate candidates recommended by more than one society and make other adjustments that may be required. d) Reports the results of the screening to the Board of Directors. |

Article 6: The specific steps in carrying out its assigned tasks as defined in the preceding Article 5 are as follows. |

Article 7: The committee's operational expenses are provided out of the central IEICE budget. |

These provisions shall go into effect from May 27, 2008. |
