We had the seminar about "Advanced Networking Technology" on September 1, 2005 at Korea University, Seoul. It was sponsored jointly by IEICE Korea/Information Section and IEEE Seoul Section.

The subjects ranged over Internet, GRID, Ad Hoc Networks, and Photonic Networks, and seemed to be very attractive and timely to all the participants. We invited the best speakers from Japan and Korea in those research areas. About 100 participants joined this seminar, including IEICE members/non-members and IEEE members. They showed lots of concerns with these presentations and active discussions were done. Various publications and brochures of IEICE were displayed at the registration desk. This seminar sponsored by IEICE was the first time in our country. I think that the seminar was a good opportunity to give the participants more understanding about IEICE.
