We held the workshop about "The Tutorial workshop on IPTV service" on January 31, 2008 at Emerald Room, Shin Yang Park Hotel, Gwang-Ju, Korea. It was sponsored jointly by IEICE Korea section Communication and 18th HSN(High Speed Network Workshop).

The subjects ranged over IPTV service, convergence and technology and seemed to be very attractive and timely to all the participants. We invited the best speakers in those research areas. About 100 participants joined this workshop, including IT experts and graduate students. The workshop was a good opportunity to give the participants more understanding about IEICE.
In order to activate the activities in Korea section, communication, deputy local area representative was appointed. At present the administrative members of Korea Section, communication, are as follows.
