Survey of IEICE Student Membership Preferential



1. Review time of IEICE Transactions is shorter than that of IEEE.

2. Student membership fee is more reasonable.

3. Access to Japanese technology, R&D and market is easier.




IEICE Drawback

1.
No similar magazine like IEEE Spectrum or Communications Magazine.

2. Japanese language is still a barrier.

3. Education toolkits and Information service from database are not fully available.

4. IEICE Regional activities are much less.


IIEICE Activities

1. Participate in various seminar and conferences i.e. NCOA 2005, ICOCN 2005, Hokkaido-Chulalongkorn University Annual Meeting, ISWPC 2006 in Phuket.

2. Membership campaign at International Symposium on Wireless Pervasive Computing 2006

3. More than 10 papers published in IEICE Transactions from Thailand for example:
