The terrible earthquake in east Japan and the accident of Fukushima nuclear power plant in 2011 inquire us a role and limitation of ICT technologies for our modern society. Also the IEICE changed to a corporation in April of 2012, gaining a new scheme for academic activities. Moreover, it is more than 10 years ago that the IEICE started a 4 society system. I believe that now we need a thorough review of organization and activity in the IEICE in order to progress sustainedly the IEICE as a leading academic institution of the ICT technologies in Japan, Asia and World, and a role of treasurer is important for supporting these innovative actions.
