Organized Sessions

Call for Organized Session Proposal for EMC '09/Kyoto

The Program Committee (PC) of EMC '09/Kyoto (2009 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Kyoto) invites proposals for organized sessions which will be presented at the Symposium.  The organized session proposal should be related to any aspects of EMC and related technologies.  Each of organized sessions will be scheduled for a ninety-minute slot or connected two or three slots unless notified of specific desire.

Prospective organizers of organized sessions should post their proposal by email to the PC. 

A proposal of organized session should indicate

  1. session title,
  2. session description,
  3. expected number of papers accepted (list of authors if possible),
  4. expected attendance,
  5. session organizer(s) (name, affiliation, contact information),
  6. session technical program chair,
  7. name list of potential session technical program committee members,
  8. other information (special requirement).
The description should show objectives and content of the organized session, including relevance of the session to EMC and originality as well as its importance which strengthen the Symposium.

Submitted proposal will be reviewed by the Program Committee.   Due to limitation of session slots, please understand that not all proposal will be accepted.

For proposals of organized sessions that are accepted, the organizer will be responsible for promotion of the organized session, coordination of reviews for submitted papers, and moderation of the session at the Symposium.    Procedure, regulations and important dates for papers of organized sessions are the same as those of regular sessions, and the papers will be published in the Symposium proceedings.   An author for an organized session will submit a full-length manuscript to submission web site, and PC will send the file to the organizer for reviewing.   Session technical program committee will review the paper, and the organizer will provide result of review process and program of the session to the PC.

Please be aware that the Symposium could not provide any financial support to organizers and speakers of organized sessions, such as travel expenses and registration fee.

Important dates for proposal of organized sessions:
Deadline for submissions of proposals: October 1, 2008 
Notification of acceptance:  October 15, 2008
Deadline for full-length manuscript submission: December 1, 2008
Deadline for organized session program: May 1, 2009
The program Committee welcomes prior discussion about the intention to submit a proposal.
