The Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC) provides a forum for greater regional interaction and dissemination of information on the latest developments in the rapidly expanding field of communications. The major objective of APCC is to provide researchers and engineers in the Asia-Pacific region with an opportunity to discuss topics related to advanced telecommunication technologies and services, while at the same time, opening the door to the world. It will focus on the major advances in telecommunications, both happening now and to come in the foreseeable future.

APCC2001 will be held in Tokyo, Japan from 17-20 Sep. 2001 at the site of the University of Electro-Communications and is scheduled in conjunction with IEICE Society Conference which will be held at the same site from 18-21 Sep. APCC2001 will also offer technical visits including to the Yokosuka Research Park which is dedicated to mobile communications.

You are invited to submit papers for presentation at the conference. Papers describing original works in all aspects of communications are invited. The abstract of each paper will be published as the proceedings category in IEICE Transactions on Communications.

Submission Guidelines

Prospective authors are requested to submit their manuscripts electronically via the APCC2001 web site.

Papers should follow Microsoft Wordfs template (4 two-column pages with 9pt (3,500 words) in ISO A4 paper). The template is provided at the APCC2001 submission page.

An on-line submission form with file (acceptable electronic format is PDF) attachment capability will be available on the APCC2001 web site starting February 2001. Please visit our web site for more details.

Interactive (Poster and Demonstration) Sessions

Proposals for interactive sessions should follow the guidelines for the submission of papers.
We will provide LAN equipment, power supply and LCD displays for demonstration. If you need equipment, please apply by e-mail.

Tutorials

You are invited to propose for full-day or half-day tutorials relating to the above areas. Proposals must include an outline, intended audience and a brief biography of the speaker. Please contact us by e-mail for more information.
